Important Info

We follow the KwaZulu Natal School Holidays calendar. We will be open during school holidays, we will, however, be closed during December and January on specified dates which will be advised in our newsletter. We will be closed on public holidays and school public holidays.

A copy of the child’s clinic card must be supplied and kept up to date should any changes occur.
Should your child not be feeling well, have a bad flu or have been sick the night before, they must not attend school and should preferably be kept at home until they are feeling better.
Please phone/SMS us between 7h00 and 8h00 should your child be absent or ill.

Happy Hearts Daycare following the government approved CAPS educational curriculum. We are able to mould the CAPS curriculum to suit our needs and the needs of our children

Happy Hearts Daycare has a wonderful upgraded playground with astro-turf and a stunning play gym designed by Jungle Gems to utilize our area fully.

Happy Hearts Menu
Monday – Mince and Macaroni
Tuesday – Chicken Stew
Wednesday – Hot dogs and fruit
Thursday – Mince, Veg and Rice
Friday – Sandwiches and Jelly
Parents to please pack snacks for morning and afternoon. Snacks must include the following:
• Fruit x 2
• Yoghurt x 1
• Cheddars/Chips x 1
• Water Bottle
Other snacks that you can include:
• Good Morning biscuits
• Something sweet

Each age group gets to use the play area at dedicated times.

At Happy Hearts we have qualified First Aiders and they are equipped to handle any situation. When a child gets sick or injured Happy Hearts will contact the parents immediately to advise the parents. Happy Hearts Daycare is also registered with Blue Security Response that cover a wide variety of assistance.

In the afternoon if anyone other than the designated parent is to collect the child, a picture of the person will be asked for and security question will be asked to ensure the safety of the child. Only once this is all correct will a child be handed off.

Happy Hearts Daycare provides termly reports for all their children and we do one parent/teacher interviews after the second term to advise parents if children’s progress.
